Sunday River Update 12/11/12

Strait from the site:
Wow, did today really happen? The slopes were drenched in sunshine today leaving no signs of freezing rain while making for some pretty epic snow conditions all over the mountian. Temperatures are expected to plummet tonight allowing our snowmaking crew to blow snow once agian. From Kansas and Northern Lights to Dream Maker and Green Cheese, they'll have it covered with white.
Starlight, Rocking Chair, and the Jib Park are scheduled to get a healthy dose of snow tonight as well while the terrain park crew gets set to build up the parks in time for Christmas vacation. Meanwhile, Upper Sunday Punch is the home of our current park with a mix of boxes, a snowmaking pipe turned rail, and a couple jumps to boot.
Lifts scheduled to open tomorrow include the Barker Mountain Express, South Ridge Express, White Cap Quad, Little White Cap Quad, Spruce Mountain Triple, the Chondola, and the Sundance Surface lift at 9 a.m. Last chair is 3:30 p.m. for some lifts, 3:45 p.m. for others.

Winterfest
begins this weekend and The Foggy Goggle is the place to be Saturday night as we tap into our Viking heritage here at Sunday River. Show up dressed in the sexiest Viking God or Goddess outfit you can put together and have a chance to win a Gold New England pass for the rest of the 2012-13 season. Saturday also kicks off night skiing for the season at Sunday River and we're offering a special one night only $5 lift ticket. That's right, for just $5 you can spend this Saturday night from 4-8 p.m. skiing or riding South Ridge and North Peak under the lights on the most dependable snow in New England.
